Laos arrests five Cambodians for illegal entry
STEUNG TRENG (Cambodia Herald) – Lao police have arrested five Cambodians for illegally entering the country to cut rosewood, Stung Treng border police said.
Police said the five entered Laos from Ou Kham Phork village in Prek Meas commune in Siem Pang district. They were arrested on Monday and taken to the provincial capital 90 kilometers away.
Oun Sarun, provincial deputy commander, said he and other officials were keeping in touch with the Lao side.
